Islamic Queries & Objections

Surah 5:47 – So let the people of the Gospel rule according to what God revealed in it.  Those who do not rule according to what God revealed are the sinners.

Surah 5:68 – Say, “O People of the Scripture! You have no basis until you uphold the Torah, and the Gospel, and what is revealed to you from your Lord.”

Just like most Christians, most Muslims do not really know what their book tells them because they have not read it much for themselves.  Now, to be certain the message of Jibril, does contradict itself in various places, saying not to believe the very things these Surahs tell us to believe, which presents an impossible dilemma for the thinking person to believe what Jibril teaches.

For instance, God is referred to in the plural form many times in the Qur’an, i.e., Surah 7:10-11We have established you firmly on earth, and made for you in its livelihood—but rarely do you give thanks.  We created you, then We shaped you, then We said to the angels, “Bow down before Adam;” so they bowed down, except for Satan; he was not of those who bowed down.

This agrees with the Torah and the Gospel, that although God is one (in purpose, thought and deed) He is more than one person!

Thus, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in the Torah and Gospel do make sense here in the Qur’an.

It is important to realize that when Jesus was on trial this is how He answered, “But He kept silent and answered nothing.  Again, the high priest asked Him, saying to Him, ‘Are You the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?’ Jesus said, ‘I am. And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.'” (Mark 14:61-62)

Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me – John 14:6. Jesus also said, “you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins” – John 8:24.  Are you willing to put your faith in Jesus to save you? If not, consider the alternative at the final judgment.

Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for themAnd I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deedsAnd the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fireAnd if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.(Revelation 20:11-15)

Notice that all deeds merit a person nothing!  For it is written,For all of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous deeds are like filthy rags” – Isaiah 64:6.  The important thing is getting one’s name in the book of life.  The Bible tells us that there is only one way to do that.  Jesus said, I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me” – John 14:6

We must acknowledge our sin has offended God and separated us from Him.  But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God,
And your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear
” – Isaiah 59:2.  We must repent of our sins and ask Jesus for His forgiveness, because He really DID die for us and His blood sacrifice is the only thing God, the Father will accept as payment to cleanse our sin off our soul. (See Isaiah Ch. 53) “For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.  But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” – Romans 5:6-8

Please know, you are not your doctrine, you are a human being made in the image of God and someone unique whom He loves very much. Just give yourself a chance to know Jesus and His amazing love for you, and He will change your life, give your life purpose and powerful everlasting meaning!  If you tired of being programmed as to what to think concerning God from those who tell you He is “unknowable” (which makes no sense), then this website will be a refreshing, enlightening and welcome change for you.

Jesus said the Devil is a liar and a deceiver, who comes to kill, steal and destroy.  Any religious group that practices these things is following the ways of Satan, regardless of how they may attempt to justify it, even with God’s name. This would include certain “Christian” groups as well.  Jesus said you shall know them by their fruits and that He came to give abundant life to people.  Perhaps, the real question is will followers of Islam hold themselves accountable to the same standard they hold others to, or will the self-righteous hypocrisy of the radicals in leadership continue to control a false narrative, which advocates killing and destroying all who don’t agree with them?

I may not know everything, but I do know this:
All who truly seek God will find Him, and when I truly sought God with all my heart and mind, it was Jesus Christ who showed up and answered my prayer, not another.  He displayed great love to me and forgave me of all my sins, saving my soul.   His love and power were overwhelming, freeing and joyous within me.  This testimony is true and not a lie.  Before God, and on my life, I swear it is so.  Terrance G. Questions Honest Muslims must answer

I was hoping a Muslim could help me understand these things, because many say that Islam is the prefect religion and the Qur’an is the perfect book.  If this is really true, then someone should be able to answer these questions.  However, I have yet to find anyone in Islam who is even willing to seriously and honestly take on the difficult questions.  If Islam is the true religion and final word from God, then where is the honestly and integrity required to prove this?  Faith in God was never meant to be blind, mindless allegiance backed up by the threat of exile and/or death, because that would be a religion of cowards.  Real faith in God (and courage) believes what He has said, even when the many in the world will reject you, hate you and be willing to kill you for daring to defend the truth.  By the way, something to think about as you work through these questions, there were at least seven different versions of the Qur’an in the beginning after Muhammad died.  There was a fight, the winner kept the one he liked and burned all the other versions, which are gone now forever.  Did we have the right one passed down to us?  If not, how would we know? If the version we have is not reliable, what is?  If we have the right one, it should be perfect, as claimed, right?

Question #1

In Surah 18:83-86 of the Qur’an, Allah told Muhammad that the sun sets in a pool of muddy water. How can the Qur’an really be a message from God when this is obviously historically and scientifically incorrect?  It does not say the sun “appeared” to set. Further, the text is referring to Alexander the Great (Dhu’l-Qarneyn) going far enough to the West to see this happen, the sun setting in muddy spring of water. A real historical figure moves this verse out of the realm of an “allegory”, as it is stating it as a real event of history. If Allah is really the true God and the Qur’an his perfect word, then how could such a bad mistake have been made, to say that someone could travel far enough to the west to see where the sun sets?

Question #2

How can it be reconciled that in Surah 19:28 of the Qur’an that it says Mary (Miriam), who was the mother of Jesus, was actually the sister of Aaron (and thus Moses, Aaron’s brother)?  Because we know that Moses had a sister named Miriam, but in the Qur’an it has her displaced historically by some 2,000 years.

Question #3

Further, in Surahs 7 & 19, among other places, the Qur’an repeatedly uses the plural forms of the pronoun for God, being stated as “We”, “Us” and “Our”.  This would indicate that the reciter either repeatedly and often made huge mistakes, or that he understood God in a plural form (i.e. a Trinity just like in the Torah and the Gospel).  To attempt to spin it that the plural form meant “Muhammad and God” does not work, because too many verses that use the plural form for God are involving events and people that were long before Muhammad’s time on earth (i.e the creation).  To attempt to spin it as God and some angel(s) is even less credible, as Surah 19:17 states that “We sent unto her Our Spirit” to impregnate Mary.  That would mean God mixed Himself with an angel in order to impregnate Mary?  That’s just bizarre and gross nonsense that no one sane would believe. Go read Surah 7:11 and you will have your proof.

Question #4

In Surahs 21 and 37, the Qur’an says that all the sons of Noah were saved in the ark, but in chapter 11 it says that one of his sons drowned, that he didn’t even get on the ark. It says that he was going to go to a high mountain and save himself. How can such a contradiction exist in a perfect message from God?

Question #5

In Surah 17 the Qur’an says that Pharaoh drowned in the Red Sea, but in Surah 10 it says that he survived. How can this possibly be reconciled?

Question #6

In Surah 7 it says Allah does not forgive shirk (blasphemy), but in Surah 4 and Surah 25 we see him forgiving shirk. Is Allah a liar, did Muhammad get it wrong, or was the message corrupt or possibly corrupted afterward?

Question #7

In Surah 35 we are told that angels have a total of 6 wings, but it is recorded that Muhammad said that the angel Gabriel had 600 wings. How can this be?

Question #8

Who was the first Muslim? In Surah 39, Muhammad said that he was, but Surah 7 says it was Moses, and Surah 2 says it was Abraham.

Question #9

In Surah 7 we find that the Jews repented of their worshipping of the golden calf, but in Surah 20 we are told that they didn’t. Which are we to believe is true?

Question #10

What was man created from, blood, clay, dust, or nothing?  Which is it?

·         “Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood,” (Surah 96:2).

·         We created man from sounding clay, from mud molded into shape, (Surah 15:26).

·         “The similitude of Jesus before Allah is as that of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him: “Be”. And he was,” (Surah 3:59).

·         “But does not man call to mind that We created him before out of nothing?” (Surah 19:67, Yusuf Ali). Also, Surah 52:35).  Notice the plural form of God (‘We”) being used again!

Question #11

Is there or is there not compulsion in religion according to the Qur’an?

·         Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things,” (Surah 2:256).

·         “And an announcement from Allah and His Messenger, to the people (assembled) on the day of the Great Pilgrimage, – that Allah and His Messenger dissolve (treaty) obligations with the Pagans. If then, ye repent, it was best for you; but if ye turn away, know ye that ye cannot frustrate Allah. And proclaim a grievous penalty to those who reject Faith,” (Surah 9:3).

·         “But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practice regular charity, then open the way for them: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful,” (Surah 9:5).

Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued,” (Surah 9:29).

Question #12

Are Allah’s decrees changed or not?

·         “Rejected were the messengers before thee: with patience and constancy they bore their rejection and their wrongs, until Our aid did reach them: there is none that can alter the words (and decrees) of Allah. Already hast thou received some account of those messengers,” (Surah 6:34).

·         “The word of thy Lord doth find its fulfillment in truth and in justice: None can change His words: for He is the one who heareth and knoweth all, (Surah 6:115).

·         None of Our revelations do We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, but We substitute something better or similar: Knowest thou not that Allah Hath power over all things?” (Surah 2:106).

·         When We substitute one revelation for another, – and Allah knows best what He reveals (in stages), – they say, “Thou art but a forger”: but most of them understand not,” (Surah 16:101).

Question #13

The Qur’an states that Jesus is the Messiah.  Did you know that Messiah literally means Savior?  What did Jesus save us from?  Which is greater, a Savior or a prophet?

Question #14

Are Muslims forbidden to read the Bible?

Many Clerics would answer ‘yes’ to this question, but Muhammad encouraged Muslims to read the Bible, saying it was important.

Surah 5:68 states, “O’ people of the book, ye have no ground to stand upon, unless ye stand fast by the law, the Gospel, and all the revelation that has come to you from your Lord.”

Question #15

Surah 4:157 denies the historical crucifixion of Jesus Christ.  Saying God tricked/deceived everyone, not only attempts to discredit God’s holy character, it also completely attempts to falsify the actual historical narrative that Jesus died, was buried for three days, and then rose from the dead physically showing Himself to over 500 eyewitnesses who saw the nail scares in His hands and spear hole in His side, where the spear was driven into His heart to make sure He was dead before they took Him down off the cross.  Why does the angelic messenger and the Reciter try to rewrite undeniable and verifiable history?  How can any honest person not agree that this is both inaccurate and utterly delusional?

Question #16

Surah 5:47 states that the people of the Gospel are to judge what God has revealed.  The people of the Gospel (true Christians who actually follow the authority of God’s word, the Bible, not religious “Christians”, like Catholics) are to judge.  Well, both history and the true biblical prophets tell us that Jesus is the Messiah (Savior of the world), who died for humanity’s sins, even Muhammad’s sin (Surah 47:19).  Therefore, when the Messenger and the Reciter then turn right around and directly contradict this command, in Surah 5:51, how are we even expected to take what they are saying seriously?

Question #17

In Islam we know that Muhammad is to be the greatest prophet, but the Qur’an calls Jesus holy (which means perfect without sin) in Surah (chapter) 11, but the Qur’an never calls Muhammad holy, and it even tells us that Muhammad was a sinner (Surah 47:19). Surah 19:19 states that Mary would have a faultless son.  Jesus was the only perfect and sinless person to live on the earth, ever. Yet, Muhammad is supposed to be the greater prophet?  Jesus performed miracles (i.e., walking on water, giving sight to the blind, healing the lame and sick and raising the dead), yet Muhammad never did these things. Although some overzealous Muslims wish to attribute miracles to Muhammad, he said that he had performed no miracles. When Muhammad was asked to perform a miracle to prove he was a prophet, he responded that Allah had not empowered him to do such a thing and the Qur’an offers no proof he did. Why is this?

Without excuse:  Allah says in Quran that, “I made Qur’an very clear, simple and easy and written in Arabic (Surahs 44:58, 54:22, 54:32, 54:40) so that Muslims (Arabs of course) can understand very easily?” Please listen what Merciful Allah says in Qur’an: “But We have indeed made the Qur’an easy to understand and remember: then is there any that will receive admonition? (Surah 54:22); and “We have made it a Qur’an in Arabic, that ye may be able to understand and learn wisdom (Surah 43:3)”. Allah emphatically declared that He made Quran very simple so that Muslims can understand very easily.  Nowhere in the Qur’an does Allah say that my words must be read with the help of Quranic interpretations and commentaries (spin)!  These problems cannot be honestly dismissed and those who insist on continuously attempting to spin them away are no better than those who murder anyone who dares to question all of the clear problems within this religious book.

Final Questions:

Do you know what Moses, Jesus, the prophets and the Apostles said in the Bible?  Are you at least curious, since they set forth the things of God, hundreds and thousands of years prior to Muhammad’s birth?

God had Moses write in God’s Laws that on the evidence of two or three witnesses a matter shall be confirmed – Deuteronomy 17:6. One witness is not sufficient to establish or judge a matter or person by – Deuteronomy 19:15.  The Bible testifies to the accuracy of the prophets and the patriarchs with 40 separate witnesses who all spoke and wrote to the same message about Isa (Jesus Christ), the Messiah (Savior), who would come to reveal God to humanity and make the payment for our sins.  Further, their consistent corporate testimony was confirmed with God’s divine stamp of approval by signs, miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit, which irrevocably establishes that their witness was from God.

The Qur’an has but one witness, a spirit identifying itself as “Jibrael” (“Gabriel”). Further, Jibrael’s message is a contradictory SINGLE witness, which has been put above the witness of over 40 verified God fearing testimonies of the great ancient prophets and patriarchs that all agreed and have God’s divine stamp of approval. Can you see that this single testimony from one spirit breaks the Law of God given through Moses?

Was the spirit calling itself Jibrael possibly a jinn???  Since he did not show us or leave any credentials, as to his true identity, we are required to test this spirit.  For it is written: “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.” – 1 John 4:1. (Written about 500 years before Muhammad was born, as were the following Scriptures.)

Even the prophets in the books of Holy Scripture gave us a strong warning and guideline for protection, so that we would not to be deceived by the jinn, “But even though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to that which we have preached to you, let him be (divinely) accursed” (Galatians 1:8) and “contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints” (Jude 3).  These things were written long ago to protect those truly seeking God from the current and future false prophecies and teachings that God knew the devil would introduce to deceive mankind, long before a spirit calling itself “Jibrael” introduced a contrary message to humanity.

Also, we must be careful to remember some of Isa’s (Jesus Christ’s) final word’s to us:
“all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone” (Revelation 21:8) and “I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues which are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book” (Revelation 22:18-19) In other words, Jesus said that anyone who wishes to add to or take away from His prophetic words (which would include those who wish to attempt to override or count their message as superior) will be going to hell.

The prophet Isaiah spoke of this same Messiah that would come, born of a virgin, and who would suffer for the sins of many.

“Therefore, the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel (Immanuel means God with us).” – The prophet Isaiah 7:14

“For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.” – The prophet Isaiah 9:6

“But your iniquities (sins) have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear.” The prophet Isaiah 59:2

Again, The prophet Isaiah, prophesying about the suffering and crucifixion of the Messiah (hundreds of years before crucifixion was invented as a means of execution) said, “So His appearance was marred more than any man, And His form more than the sons of men.  Thus He will sprinkle many nations, Kings will shut their mouths on account of Him; for what had not been told them they will see, and what they had not heard they will understand.  Who has believed our message? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?  For He grew up before Him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of parched ground; He has no stately form or majesty that we should look upon Him, nor appearance that we should be attracted to Him. He was despised and forsaken of men, a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and like one from whom men hide their face, He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely our griefs He Himself bore, And our sorrows He carried; Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, Smitten of God, and afflicted.  But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed.  All of us like sheep have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way; But the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all To fall on Him.” – Isaiah 52:14 – 53:6

Even King David prophesied in Psalm 22 about the same suffering and crucifixion of the Messiah when he said, “All who see me sneer at me; they separate with the lip, they wag the head, saying, ‘Commit yourself to the LORD; let Him deliver him; let Him rescue him, because He delights in him.’ I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint; my heart is like wax; it is melted within me.  My strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue cleaves to my jaws; and You lay me in the dust of death.  For dogs have surrounded me; a band of evildoers has encompassed me; they pierced my hands and my feet.  I can count all my bones.  They look, they stare at me; they divide my garments among them, and for my clothing they cast lots.”

This description of the Crucifixion in David’s Prophecy was written well over 500 years before crucifixion was even conceived of as a method of execution!  The eyewitnesses in Jesus day recorded these exact events happening to Jesus when he was being crucified.  Jesus fulfilled over 100 specific prophecies concerning the first coming of the Messiah (Savior of the world). The proof is substantial for those who wish to examine it.

The Scriptures go on to say:

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”  John 3:16

“He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” – The prophet John 3:36 (Surah 19:7)

“Therefore, I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I AM, you will die in your sins.” – The prophet John 8:24

Since all this is true, what can a person do? “Repent, and let each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”  The blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ is the only way to cleanse sin off our soul and escape Hell to live with God forever in Heaven. Every other thing spoken against this ultimate and final truth is a lie; do not believe the lies, because they will condemn your soul for all eternity!

True Christians will answer the difficult questions, because we have the truth on our side (John 14:6).
